Attachments
- Automatic deletion of an attached file if it is not downloaded for a specific number of days/weeks/months
- A Limitation of Megabytes an user can attach in his post every day (Can vary in which group position etc you are)
- Listen directly to attached mp3s
- An extra site to view all Files, which were attached in public forums (categorized)
- Open attached pictures with Lightbox or something
- Showing content and infos about an attached Torrentfile
Registration
- Facebook connect (very important imo)
- Openid
- an option to ban domain-parts of an email-adress
- -> allow only specific domain-parts
- -> put specific domain-parts automatically into a group
Extension
- A working, easy customizable and good looking Portal
- Custom pages (html php and Templates)
- Implemented games
- A working Gallery (not needed if attachement system will be improved)
- Top Discussed Topics on top of board (optional)
- News on top of the board (optional)
- A Marketplace were users can sell their items (with bidding if wanted/special group (only if you have a certain amount of posts or a good reputation))
- Latest 5 Topics on top of board (optional)
- Post or/and Topic of the day/week/month somewhere on the frontpage or portal (calculated by number of thanks "Thanks modul" or a new system)(Awarded)
- Twitter Intergration in userpage or signature
- A Blog (I think a very simple one would be enough)

- Preview Topic by Tooltip ( those tool tip things always look neat and modern ;-))
- Custom BBCodes
- Links in Topic Description
- Email or an onboard notification, when your name is mentioned in a post (not if you are quoted)
- Underlining and description of a shortcut (like asap, afaik, lol, tba, rofl) on mouseover (tooltip) (customizable) or like on when you mark a word on an article. Very helpful for new Internetusers
- A bozo function for annoying users.
- Users can be put (or join) multiple Groups
- Making Friends
- Being able to download a topic as .txt, .html or another file as a user (dunno, what would be the best?)
- Hide links from Guests (to give them a reason to register)

Nice little list I have to say, some good ideas on there.
We'll get 1.2.0 out as soon as possible, then we'll start working on some decent features.

@All cheers for the ideas.
I did try to get ideatorrent set up but the PGSQL version on the server host is not 8.3, which is what IT needs. I've emailed again asking for an upgrade but I'm not hopeful!

I really really really hate how you can select the page at the bottom.
IE. You browse the list of threads than you have to scroll all the way to the top to select the next page.You should be able to select the page at the bottom.

IE. You browse the list of threads than you have to scroll all the way to the top to select the next page.You should be able to select the page at the bottom.

Another feature I would like to see a comprehensive members list. So, you can sort by Join date, alphabetical (current system),groups (current system), age, number of posts and etc.

I think it will be good if there is blog system for NovaBoard
Also It will be good if Attachment system works better with Opera. I can't delete attachment with Opera and I am forced to use IE

A few of these features/fixes are currently planned for 1.1.5:
- Custom BBCodes
- Change allowed uploaded file types.
- Sortable memberlist
Using the custom bbcodes and file types option together will allow for things like listening directly to attached mp3's (as mentioned in the first post).
If anyone has any other features they would like to see added feel free to post them. We won't be implementing any big changes as they will be more suitable for the 2.0 release, but if there are any slight changes that could improve NovaBoard, tell us
