Some free hosts dont allow database access at all, but if you\'ve got cPanel or phpMyAdmin, you can easily do a database backup from there.
Other than that, there isn\'t a database backup built into NovaBoard at the moment. This is something that will DEFINITELY be built into 2.0.

We\'re currently busy planning 2.0 right now, and hope to start coding it as soon as possible - we\'ve already got the basis of it, but we now need the things that will make us unique.

Well, the part will have a version between 2.0 and 1.1.x series will end on 1.1.4?

No, we will release 1.1.5 and any neccessary patches to the 1.1.X series while we\'re working on 2.0. As soon as NovaBoard 2.0 is released, I believe that 1.1.X will just be an older version in the repository, as 2.0 will be a complete rewrite.
